No. 84 A-D Faults teaching set with tray

Set of four (A, B, C, D) wooden blocks that feature stratified sequences of walnut, Brazilian cherry, mahogany, maple, yellow, heart, quarter-sawn white oak, Tzalam, cherry, and purpleheart. Strata in block A are cut by a normal fault. Strata in Block B are cut by a steeply dipping reverse fault. Strata in Block C are cut by a low-angle thrust fault. Moderately dipping strata and a vertical mahogany dike in Block D are cut by both right-lateral and left-lateral strike-slip faults. The base of each of blocks A-C measure roughly 2 1/8 by 2 5/8 inches. This teaching set comes with it’s own tray of lovely green poplar. The set is finished with Tried & True┬« linseed oil and beeswax.
