This wooden block features a stratified sequence of maple, cherry, yellow heart, poplar and Brazilian cherry that is cut by two normal faults and a vertical dike of black walnut. These strata are exposed in intricately carved dendritic pattern of V-shaped, river-cut valleys. The base of the block measures roughly 4 1/4 inches square and is finished with Tried & True® linseed oil and beeswax.
