No. 70 Reverse faults and V-shaped valleys

This wooden block features a stratified sequence of maple, cherry, yellow heart, poplar, and Brazilian cherry that is cut by two reverse faults and a vertical dike of black walnut. These strata are exposed in V-shaped, river-cut valleys. The base of the block measures roughly 4 by 4 1/2 inches and is finished with Tried & True® linseed oil and beeswax.
