No. 7 Headward erosion in stream valley with normal faults and dike

This wooden block features a broad valley carved by streams with dendritic patterns of headward erosion into a stratified sequence of maple, cherry, poplar, and padauk layers that are cut by normal faults and a dike of black walnut. The base of the block measures roughly 5 inches square and is finished with linseed oil and beeswax.
