No. 69 Reverse faults with opposing valleys

This wooden block features a stratified sequence of cherry, maple, paduak, purple heart, poplar, and Brazilian cherry that is cut by two reverse faults and a vertical dike of black walnut. These strata are exposed in V-shaped, river-cut valleys with opposing slopes. The base of the block measures roughly 4 by 4 1/2 inches and is finished with Tried & True® linseed oil and beeswax.
