This wooden block features a stratified sequence of maple, cherry, Brazilian cherry, poplar, paduak, and movingui that is cut by two normal faults and a vertical dike of black walnut. These strata are exposed in opposing river-cut, V-shaped valleys. The base of the block measures roughly 4 1/4 inches square and is finished with Tried & True® linseed oil and beeswax.
