No. 43 Opposing valleys cut by reverse faults and dike

This wooden block features a stratified sequence of poplar, Brazilian cherry, maple, cherry, and Tzalam that is exposed in opposing valleys and cut by two reverse faults and a vertical dike of black walnut. One of the faults is a scissor fault The base of the block measures roughly 4 1/2 by 5 inches and is finished with linseed oil and beeswax.
