This wooden block features a stratified sequence of Brazilian cherry, cherry, maple, redwood, purple heart, and oak layers that dip down a broad valley and are cut by a normal fault and a dike of black walnut. The base of the block measures roughly 3 inches square and is finished with linseed oil and beeswax.
