This wooden block features a stratified sequence of Brazilian cherry, maple, padauk, poplar, purple heart, and mahogany layers that are dip up and down broad, opposing valleys that are cut by a vertical dike of black walnut. The base of the block measures roughly 4.5 inches square and is finished with linseed oil and beeswax.
